닥중이갤러리

After the Hello Kitty exhibition my friend and I decided to go to Samcheondong for lunch and it was such a beautiful day so we went for a walk after lunch to see what was open as a lot of things were closed on Children's day, and we stumbled across this very small but quaint 닥중이갤러리 (DakJungi Gallery).

Hello Kitty Exhibition

I am not a massive Hello Kitty fan but I have to say that there is something fun an cutesy about Hello Kitty. I read in the April edition of the Seoul magazine that they were going to hold a Hello Kitty exhibition for 5 days, one of the days would fall on Children's Day which is May.5th, which also happened to be my day off. A Korean friend of mine also had the day off as she teaches English and none of the children attend school that day so I roped her into going with me and this was the result.

Hello Kitty OVERLOAD.

My friend and I feared we would be the only 2 people going to this exhibition without children but luckily there were lots of girls there of all different ages just having a look at the exhibition and buying Hello Kitty merchandise. Despite the fact that I said I'm not a massive Hello Kitty fan I ended up buying some trainers because they were only 10,000 won and I needed a new pair of trainers so I thought why not some Hello Kitty trainers?
